Our Vision & Aim of CFA is that the players get more success @HOME and in foreign countries ( @ABROAD ).
FOOTBALL should become more & more "IN" in the Philippines, so that kids like to PLAY & NOT sitting dreamlessness on the STREET !
THE FOOTBALL-PROGRAM of CFA should show a way of FUN ( even if a player isn´t successfull )
and it should be an active ANTI-VIOLENCE "campaign" !
THE CFA-Program should stay for the FUTURE and dreams of young generation & through the support of SPONSORS the YOUNG PEOPLE can learn that they are NOT ALONE !
The CFA-Kasibulan-Grassroot-Project can show such a way..
The Kasibulan 6-12 grassroots development project is a vision set for the YOUTH OF TODAY, FOR TOMORROW. Its commitment is focused on the refinement of social and moral values, the acquisition of desirable personality traits and the attainment of a quality of life that is physically, mentally, and socially sound.
The Kasibulan 6-12 grassroots development program will undertake an important task of molding our young into unique and productive citizens of tomorrow. The medium to be used towards the realization of our youth’s potential is the world’s most popular game, FOOTBALL.
FOOTBALL is important because it helps our youth:
• Develop individual skills/ discipline and value formation;
• Develop a unified social outlook and a national conscience;
• and FOOTBALL is regarded as one of the best FOUNDATION SPORTS for children.
The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Youth Development Committee, in partnership with the Department of Education (Dep. ED) have been tasked to plan and implement the Kasibulan 6-12 grassroots development program nationwide.
The Cebu Football Association (CFA), a member of the PFF, has been tasked by the PFF to implement the Kasibulan6-12 grassroots development program in Cebu, in partnership with the Department of Education (Dep. ED) Region Vll. The CFA – Dep. Ed tandem is a partnership directed at the development of very young football players, utilizing an integrated approach among the schools, communities, local governments concerned agencies and individuals, and address the question on how best to provide for the sporting needs of our youth.
ADOPT A SCHOOL PROJECT… "extending an opportunity to our children"
Football is a team game and the development of our youth will depend on the level of teamwork that all concerned will bring together for the common good of our children. Sport is a good release for children and should be available to as many as possible. We also understand that children in government schools are not given the same opportunities under normal circumstances that are afforded to those attending private schools.
Without support from the private sector, that inequality will unfortunately always remain. At Kasibulan 6-12 we are now asking for the support of the private sector through a project we are referring to as ADOPT A SCHOOL…"extending an opportunity to our children". We are asking private companies to ADOPT A SCHOOL and be part of a project that will extend an opportunity to our children and have a profound effect on their lives in the future.
The Kasibulan 6-12 starting age for the children this school year 2003/04 is for children 6-7 years of age, born on or after January1, 1996 and are currently in grade 1. In each school the coaches will limit the number of students to a maximum of 25. A number believed to be controllable for the coaches involved. The coaches will identify 10 schools in the Mandaue, Lapu Lapu area bringing 250 children into the football community on an annual basis.
For a twelve month renewable sponsorship investment of seventeen thousand five hundred Philippine pesos (P17,500), or less than two pesos per day per child, an ADOPT A SCHOOL company will have provided benefits to the children of the adopted school in the following way:
• Provided one set of uniforms for the children (25) and coaches (3). The uniform of the children from the ADOPT A SCHOOL project will carry the adopting company’s name on the shirt. As well, the company name plus the name of the school will refer to the team during tournaments.
• Provided each child with a ball (25) to be used during practice. The ball to be used for practice is a rubber ball, made in Cebu, at a cost of eighty-five pesos (P85) per ball. Kasibulan 6-12 personnel will facilitate the ordering of the balls on behalf of your company.
• A portion of the sponsorship investment will be used to transport the ADOPT A SCHOOL teams to the venue of any tournaments that will be played in Cebu and sanctioned by the Cebu Football Association. This does not include such tournaments that may be sanctioned by the CFA but are held under the auspices of the Dep. of Education Region V11.
• Kasibulan 6-12 will have its own place in the official website of the Cebu Football Association (CFA) www.cebufa.com and your company’s involvement with the ADOPT A SCHOOL project will be documented there, and updated from time to time with news items.
The payment of the sponsorship investment of seventeen thousand five hundred Philippine pesos (P17, 500) will be paid directly to the Cebu Football Association (CFA). The CFA will hold such monies in trust and disburse said monies in such a way and in keeping with the agreed use of the sponsorship investment.
In conjunction with the Cebu Football Association (CFA) companies from the ADOPT A SCHOOL project will combine to promote a special fiesta day for the ADOPT A SCHOOL children. To be held as part of the Lapu Lapu Fiesta in November, this would allow the ADOPT A SCHOOL parents the opportunity to watch their children play.
Please contact Mr. Jonathan Maximo president of the Cebu Football Association for any questions you may have regarding the ADOPT A SCHOOL … "extending an opportunity to our children" project. Your support of our footballing youth today is vital to the growth of football in Cebu in the future.
